MeMoRy oF eX BrUnEi CitiZeN. 'Family Vehicles From Brunei'

Greetings,

I came across your website and it brings back a lot of memories of my childhood in Brunei. My name is Ven Rao and I lived in Brunei (Jalan Ong Sum Ping) from 1973 until 1984. My dad had an orange 1968 Hillman Hunter (Plate: B7329) and my mom had a mustard yellow colored 1974 Morris Mini 850. (Plate: BA5631) The Hillman was completely written-off in a rear end collision in 1979 and the Mini was subsequently sold-off in 1984. (Hopefully, the car still survives!)

The "muscle cars," of that era in Brunei were the Valiant and Valiant Charger, (Australian) Holden Statesman, Toyota Celica, Datsun 280 ZX, Skyline, (4 DR) Colt Sapporo/Galant and the Chevy Impala. (3 Australian built known of in BSB circa 1981) There were other odd "muscle cars," such as the Morris Marina TC, MG Midget, Opel Commodore A GSE & Rover P5B. I wish you enthusiasts continued success in your website along with the maintenance of your respective vehicles.

Warm Regards,
Ven Rao
